We believe Australia’s best Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Coonawarra which is why over 50 % of our vineyards are planted to this variety.
The Coonawarra and Cabernet combination is a true gift from nature: an exceptional mix of natural elements – a cool climate and the perfect soil. Coonawarra’s Terra Rossa soil is unique, being a mixture of red clay and fertile loam overlaying deep limestone.
Great wines come from great grapes and this is exemplified in our vineyards. Forty years old and growing strong. 150 hectares of family owned, managed and sustainably grown vineyards are entirely on this precious terra rossa.
Cabernet isn’t our only strength as our vineyards also produce some exceptional Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer.
