Robert Edwards
Advisor to the Board
After completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1967 at the University of Melbourne, Robert worked in the advertising industry for some years. In 1975 he became the marketing manager for the Stanley Wine Company. Over the ensuing years he was managing director of HG Brown & Sons, general manager of Wolf Blass Wines, marketing manager of Tarac Distillers, and managing director of Baker Liquor Merchants, Sydney.
In 1995 he joined Peter Lehmann Wines, first as marketing manager, and subsequently as marketing director. He retired from this position in 2007 to become a non-executive director of the company, as well as a consultant to the wine industry.
He became an advisor to the board of Rymill Coonawarra in 2009; a decision that we suspect was influenced by the lure of the crayfish to be found in nearby Robe.
