Musica Viva

Rymill Coonawarra is proud to be the national wine sponsor of Musica Viva, the world’s largest entrepreneur of fine ensemble music. Founded by Romanian born, Viennese trained Richard Goldner, who had fled the Anschluss and arrived in Australia in 1939, Musica Viva’s first performance, illuminated by car headlights due to a power failure, was held in Sydney on 8 December 1945. From this modest beginning, a magnificent tradition has emerged.
